Birds of Hope
Imagination + Dedication = Kingdom Work
Hope Guarantee | Changed Lives
Worldwide water conditions have affected the quality of life millions of people.
Emily and Allyson, founders of Birds of Hope, were raised drinking clean water and living in good health. It wasn’t until they saw a documentary about the water crisis in Zambia, Africa that they were moved to do something for the people who didn’t have the same gift.
They hope that their efforts would be multiplied as they share their story—educate others, and sell handmade hanging birds to raise money for bio-sand filters and wells for the people who need them most.
The hard fact: 884 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. This is roughly one in eight of the world’s population. (WHO/UNICEF)
We want that to change. It starts with each of us doing what we can to help. Our way is the bird way. Buy a bird, give someone hope. Pretty simple. The money raised is donated to organizations like Active Water who can take the next step in supplying the tools needed for clean, safe, water.
As you read our story, we hope that you’ll find yourself somewhere. Being a young girl in Zambia means you will likely be responsible for gathering water for all of your family’s needs. Being a young girl in America means you will likely be responsibly for gathering whatever resources you have to help those in need.
We want to be a part of the solution. Our parents, youth pastor, church, sewing friends, designer, t-shirt providers, and friends ask that you’d join us. Buy a bird (or a whole flock).
Give the bird and tell the story.
Together we’ll spread hope.
